SUMMARY:Confident Christianity - Glasgow
DESCRIPTION:Confident Christianity comes to Glasgow\n\nDo you find the thought of talking about Jesus to friends\, neighbours\, classmates or colleagues daunting? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking “what if I say something that makes God look bad?” Or wondering what happens if they raise a challenging question or objection to which you’re unable to respond. (“Aren’t Christians bigoted and homophobic?”; “Isn’t the Bible unreliable and full of errors?”; “Hasn’t science buried God?”; “Isn’t religion just a psychological crutch?” … and the list goes on). \nWell\, you’re not alone! In the fast-paced\, sceptical and secular culture in which we live\, most of us find evangelism a bit daunting. That’s why Solas is partnering with Maxwell Mearns Castle Parish Church for a Confident Christianity conference in Glasgow. We will be bringing you a great line-up of speakers including our own Andy Bannister. They’ll help you become confident and empowered to talk about Jesus more naturally\, engage in evangelism that persuades people\, and feel equipped to answer the questions of your friends. \nAs the popular evangelist J John once said: “Many times Christians are like arctic rivers. They have frozen mouths.” Come along to a Confident Christianity conference and de-thaw! \n  Tickets Available Here \nSpeakers and Topics:\nIain Morris (Exploring The God Question\, Grasping the Nettle)\n“God and Science Under the Microscope” \nAndy Bannister\n“Are We Matter or Do We Matter: Why what you believe about God changes everything”\n“How to Talk About Jesus Without Looking Like An Idiot” \nBen Thomas\n“Reconciling God with a Suffering World”\n“Sharing the Gospel with LGBT Friends\, Colleagues and Family”

SUMMARY:Thrive: the gospel in and through your workplace
DESCRIPTION:This conference has been born out of a desire to see God move in the places and people we move amongst each and every day\, many of whom would never enter a church building. Our aim is to see Christians live out the gospel in and through their workplace – impacting themselves\, their work and our city. \nAndy Bannister will be leading a session on evangelism in the workplace. \nThus\, the theme of the conference is how we can be an influence and make an impact in the workplace. It is aimed at Christians who are: \n\nstruggling to see how God can use them in the workplace\nneed encouraged\, equipped and empowered to see their workplace as a place of ministry\nwanting to make a bigger impact on the corporate culture around them and the city in which they work\n\nWe are asking ourselves: how can we help Christian’s thrive in the workplace? A place that is often tiring\, stressful\, and resistant to Christian things. It is our belief that God is moving within our corporate world across Scotland and we want to catch something of His vision and heart for our workplace. \nThe Business Connection\, Mission Scotland\, Solas CPC\, Global Advance and King’s Community Foundation have joined together to bring you a time of inspiring teaching\, great worship and honest conversations. We would love you to join us and be part of the movement. Would you invest one day of your entire year in seeking to make the other 260 or so days at work more purposeful and influential?
