We will help you become confident and empowered to talk about Jesus more naturally, engage in evangelism that persuades people, and feel equipped to answer the questions of your friends.

Andy Bannister is the Director of Solas and is an evangelist, speaker, writer, and broadcaster. From universities to churches, cafes to pubs, schools to workplaces, Andy regularly addresses audiences of both Christians and those of all faiths and none on issues relating to faith, culture, politics and society. He was co-editor and a contributing writer for Have You Ever Wondered? and authored How To Talk About Jesus Without Looking Like An Idiot, Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God? and The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist. He also co-hosts two podcasts, PEP Talk and Pod of the Gaps and presents the Short Answers video series for Solas.
Gavin Matthews is Solas’s Assistant Director (Scotland). He speaks for Solas in churches and at conferences, writes and presents podcasts. He is a contributor to, and editor of, the Have You Ever Wondered? book. Gavin has been married to Elaine since 1996 and they have three adult children. He has been a member of Perth Baptist Church since 1999.
*David Hutchings is a physics teacher and author who studied Physics at the University of York from 2000 to 2004. A Fellow of the Institute of Physics, his books include Of Popes and Unicorns (OUP 2022), God, Stephen Hawking and the Multiverse (SPCK 2020), and Let There Be Science (Lion Hudson 2017). David speaks and writes regularly on the relationship between science, Christianity, philosophy, and history. He lives in York with his wife and two young daughters.
