If you’ve recently been to a Confident Christianity event, another training activity with Solas, or are just feeling motivated to be more active about sharing the gospel, this page is for you. Here are seven ways to get more intentional about evangelism.
Pray for Specific People
Make a list of the names of five people who don’t yet believe in Jesus. Put this list in the front of your Bible and pray for them every day, especially for opportunities to speak to them about Jesus.
Pray for Opportunities
Pray for opportunities to speak about Jesus at work, at school or among your friends. Pray for opportunities, pray for courage, pray that you would speak up, listen well, and share Jesus clearly.
Use the Three Questions
Use the three questions from Confident Christianity (watch a recap in the video below) in conversation with folks who don’t believe:
- “What do you mean by that?”
- “Why do you think that?”
- “Have you ever wondered?”
Share a Short Answers Video
You can find over 150 of them on our website at solas-cpc.org/shortanswers, all free to download or
share. Pick a topic you like, share the link via email, or post it via social media or on your own blog or website. If you’re in a conversation with a friend when one of the questions we’ve addressed comes up, pull out your phone and show them a video!
Organise an Evangelistic Event
Organise an evangelistic event somewhere other than your church building. Try a coffee shop, a pub, a café, or a restaurant—find a great, neutral location and invite a Solas speaker. It’s easier than you imagine, read our step-by-step guide here!

Keep Up the Momentum
Start meeting regularly with other people in your church (maybe others who came to Confident Christianity) who are passionate about evangelism. Talk about what you’ve learnt, resources you’ve discovered, and share stories of conversations you’ve had (whether they’ve gone well or gone badly!)
Support, encourage, and pray for one another.
