Confident Christianity Morning Conference – Inverness

May 16 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Do you find the thought of talking about Jesus with friends, neighbours, family members, or colleagues a bit daunting?
Do you ever worry about saying the wrong thing — or what might happen if someone raises a difficult question?
If so, you’re not alone.
Many Christians long to share their faith more naturally but feel unsure where to begin. That’s why Knockbain Free Church is partnering with Solas to host a special Confident Christianity Morning with speaker Steve Osmond.
This practical training session is designed to help ordinary Christians:
- Talk about Jesus more naturally and thoughtfully
- Grow in confidence in everyday gospel conversations
- Share their own story of faith clearly and naturally
The morning will include two focused sessions, interactive elements, and time for questions!
Event Schedule
Saturday 16th May – Everyday Gospel Confidence
10:00am–12:30pm
Conversations That Count
For many Christians, the thought of evangelism is something that fills them with anxiety and fear. What if there are questions that I can’t answer? What if they disagree with me? What if I just look like an idiot?
Rather than trying to have all the answers, this session will help prepare you to become better at having good conversations that lead naturally and confidently to sharing your faith in Jesus.
Tea & Coffee Break
Sharing Your Testimony Workshop
One of the most powerful tools in evangelism is your own story.
This interactive workshop will help you:
- Reflect clearly on what Christ has done in your life
- Shape your testimony in a simple and engaging way
- Share your faith naturally and appropriately in everyday conversations
Together, these two sessions provide practical skills and confidence to help you speak about Jesus with warmth, clarity, and courage.
Q&A and Closing Prayer
These events are ideal whether you:
- Feel nervous about evangelism
- Want practical help starting spiritual conversations
- Care deeply about friends and family who don’t yet know Jesus
Everyone is welcome, and the event is free.
“If God, Why Evil?” – Evangelistic Event
Friday 15th May 2026 | 7:00pm–8:30pm
Knockbain Free Church, Inverness
We would especially encourage you to invite friends, family members, colleagues, and neighbours to this evangelistic evening with Steve.
The Bible teaches us that God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good. If Christianity is true, then why is there so much evil and suffering in the world? This is both a common objection from sceptics as well as a question that just about every Christian will wrestle with at some point. This talk is an introduction to the problem of evil and suffering that will focus on helping people think through God being both loving and powerful, but also allowing evil and suffering. Christianity not only stands up to the questions posed by sceptics but has something unique to offer the world when faced with pain, grief, evil, and suffering.
There will also be opportunity for Q&A in an open and welcoming environment.

Steve Osmond is a full-time speaker and writer for Solas, focussing primarily on Scotland. He is enthusiastic about evangelism and regularly speaks at universities around the country on the big questions of life and the truth of Christianity from a range of perspectives. He also spends much of his time working with churches and other Christian groups, both to grow their faith and equip them to share their faith in Jesus persuasively.
